A single visit offers the chance to admire, all at once, the treasures of the Cathedral of Sant’Alessandro and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore—two of Bergamo’s oldest and most prestigious churches, each housing a small museum waiting to be explored. On display in the cathedral’s basement and in the women’s galleries of the basilica are the most precious liturgical objects that faith and devotion have produced over the centuries—objects that these two religious sites preserve.
Free guided tour led by the young ecclesiastical heritage guides of the Le Vie del Sacro project.
Duration of the tour: 90 minutes.
