Halfway between the town of Pradalunga and the ancient stone quarries is the Sanctuary of the Fork, named after the place of passage on the famous ancient road Mercatorum.
During the plague of 1630, the people of Pradalunga vowed to build a shrine on the Colle della Forcella, dedicated to Our Lady of the Snow, recognized a sacred figure by quarry workers.
Among the religious notes that have given the Shrine such attention as to lead to pilgrimage phenomena are the ex-votos with which the Shrine is richly decorated: there are as many as fifty of them; some by unknown authors, many by unknown painters and others by better appreciated performers.
