The Restaurant
The restaurant is located on the Piani dell’Avaro, in the municipality of Cusio in Alta Valle Brembana, in a location accessible both in summer and winter by car. There are two rooms: one reserved for the restaurant and one dedicated to the bar and restaurant. The outdoor panoramic terrace is pleasant for summer lunches and dinners with the Bergamasque Alps as a backdrop.
At RistOrobie, the cuisine is well-curated and inspired by seasonal and local products: 0 km cheeses and cold cuts, as well as homemade desserts with seasonal fruits and what the territory offers. The restaurant adheres to the “Selvatici e Buoni” project, thus also guaranteeing native meats that truly retain all the organoleptic characteristics.
The Chef and the Restaurateur
Paola Rovelli and Miriam Gozzi
Paola and Miriam opened the establishment in 2003: the initially small and cozy structure is today a welcoming and spacious restaurant, made possible thanks to the passion and carefully crafted offering that the owners have been recognized for over the years. In the kitchen, attention is paid to local products, which they personally select, while much of the vegetables and wild herbs are harvested directly by them from their private garden and the surroundings of Piani dell’Avaro, where RistOrobie is located. Much of the berries are also homegrown.
