The Locatelli Caffi winery expresses itself in an ultrasecular winemaking tradition, which, however, knows how to keep up with the times by constantly renewing plants and researching clones increasingly suitable for the production of fine wines. In the new winery, which has been operational for a few years and was built according to an admirable design, the most modern winemaking systems coexist with fine oak barrels for aging. Cutting-edge technology and an undiminished passion for quality are a combination with which the Locatelli brothers, Fabio and Diego, intend to increase their success and continue with new energy while maintaining the canons of tradition.
The favorable exposure to the sun and the terroir make the Valcalepio area an ideal area for wine cultivation and production. Harvesting here is done manually in accordance with the oldest traditions, and the grapes are picked in small containers. From generation to generation, Merlot and Cabernet vines have been selected and planted at a density of 7-9 tons per hectare.
Winery open to the public on weekends, on other days by reservation.
