The curtain rises at ChorusLife on the most romantic, poignant, and frequently performed opera in the world: Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata.” The final installment of the world-famous popular trilogy, this masterpiece of Italian opera continues to move entire generations thanks to a perfect balance between psychological realism, social criticism, and musical heights of timeless beauty.

Inspired by Alexandre Dumas, fils’s play *The Lady of the Camellias*, the production tells the tragic and passionate love story between Violetta Valéry, a famous courtesan in 19th-century Paris, and the young Alfredo Germont. A sweeping yet impossible love, thwarted by the prejudices of the bourgeoisie of the time and by a cruel fate. Amid lavish balls, secret passions, and the echoes of immortal arias such as the famous toast “Libiamo ne’ lieti calici,” “Amami, Alfredo,” and “Addio del passato,” you will experience a night of profound lyrical intensity and pure emotion.
