“La Collina” winery in Grumello del Monte boasts a 190-year history
and carried on by 4 generations. Wine is culture inherent in the DNA of Luigi
Invernici, winemaker and great lover of work in the fields. He is joined
by his daughter Sara, a true force of nature who divides her time between business and looking
toward the future.
In the fine bottles we find love for the vineyard and passion for working in the fields. The wines reflect Luigi Invernici’s identity, they are never banal, if anything balanced and elegant, but at the same time firm and austere.
The company always strives for quality, without compromise, from which labels with unique character are born.
The vines grow on the clay-limestone soils of the hillside hamlet of San Pantaleone, with a predominance of red grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Schiava Bergamasca, to which are added Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Bianco, as well as Moscato Giallo.
“Testa Dura” is an innovative, limited-edition Bordeaux blend that comes from the best selection of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes, harvested late and left to semi-wilt on the vine.
“Rossa Passione” represents the winery’s best-selling Bordeaux blend, which comes after aging 24 to 36 months in oak barrels.
“Bruno Rosso” is a tribute to his father Bruno, the third generation, who passed on to Luigi his passion for farming life and the art of making wine, while “Podere 1798” is a 100% Merlot red.
“Biancospino” is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, which is aged exclusively in steel, preserving all its freshness and sapidity.
“Primula Gialla” is made from pure Moscato Giallo vinified dry, while “Podere 1798 Bianco” is a blend of grapes from the soils of Grumello del Monte.
On Sundays the company opens by appointment only.
