The Orobie Orientali Trail represents one of the wildest and most evocative trekking experiences in the entire Alps. It is a high-altitude itinerary that runs among the majestic peaks of the Bergamo Alps, ideally uniting rock giants such as Pizzo Coca and Presolana. The route, scheduled for the week of August 1-7, invites hikers to immerse themselves in a pristine landscape “suspended between rock and sky,” where it is not uncommon to spot ibex in their natural habitat.
The adventure is divided into 7 stages designed to connect the most characteristic refuges of the Bergamo CAI, historic structures that offer welcome and refreshment at the end of each day’s walk. During the tour, the planned overnight stays will follow this sequence: – Rifugio Laghi Gemelli – Rifugio Longo – Rifugio Brunone – Rifugio Coca – Rifugio Curò – Rifugio Albani
The initiative is curated by Via per Monti in collaboration with the Collegio Regionale Guide Alpine Lombardia.
