The initiative, organized by Hakuna Matata Lake Iseo, offers a scientific and naturalistic exploration of the Sovere Fossil Lakes Park, located in the Sellere-Pianico area of Val Borlezza. The tour allows visitors to reconstruct the history of vegetation and climate during an Alpine interglacial period through the analysis of leaves, fossil pollen, and sediments. The site serves as an archive of 45,000 years of history, documenting the presence of plants and animals in the Alps at the onset of the ice ages, with particular reference to the Oglio Glacier.
