Casa Virginia was founded in 2002, when Antonio Lecchi (current director of the winery) decided to restore an ancient vineyard nestled in the renowned Colli Bergamaschi Park. Great passion and extensive knowledge in the field of oenology are the tools with which the vineyard dating back to the 1700s is cultivated, in one of the best wine-growing areas in the Bergamo area. Casa Virginia enhances native grape varieties (such as Manzoni Bianco 6013), and at the same time seeks innovation: in the land it owns, the Marl of Bruntino, the Shiraz grape variety has been included at an experimental level.
