The farm currently covers 30 hectares used to grow corn, barley and hay in order to ensure scrupulous control over cattle feeding. The physical and psychological well-being of the animal is, in fact, one of the primary objectives of the farm, where each head of cattle is born and grows. The ample space available makes it possible to raise cattle in loose housing so that they can express the totality of their natural behaviors. Here, no cattle are introduced from outside farms, thus reducing the risk of disease contagion and, consequently, the use of drugs. Animal stress is also reduced by massaging brushes. Special attention is paid to the continuity of the cow-calf line. Calving, when necessary, is assisted with the presence of a trained veterinarian, and in an isolated, stress-free environment, the relationship between cow and calf can establish itself away from excessive external stimuli. Calves can enjoy, at their complete discretion, a dedicated space that is not accessible to adult cattle. This makes it possible both to create a quieter environment in which calves can better interact, and to provide them with different feeds more suited to their stage of life, while at the same time ensuring the continuity of maternal suckling.
The farm is open by appointment.
