The Restaurant
The restaurant “Al Caminone” is located within the elegant Hotel “Milano Alpen Resort” in Castione della Presolana, set against the stunning backdrop of the Orobie Alps. The atmosphere, characterized by a rustic style with wooden beam ceilings, is enriched with tangible elegance and attention to detail. The large fireplace in the room adds an even warmer and more welcoming ambiance. A fun fact: during the summer, a culinary event called “Alpine Cuisine Festival” is organized, where various chefs from across the Alpine arc showcase their culinary skills with live cooking demonstrations.
The Chef
Andrea Rossi
Andrea Rossi is one of the four young chefs at “Al Caminone.” Andrea is responsible for preparing main courses, offering delicious dishes that highlight the rich variety of local cuisine: from game to freshwater fish, and from sheep to calves grazing in the Orobie Alps pastures. For 56 years, “Al Caminone” has been renowned for its “Alpine Cuisine,” featuring typical products from the Bergamasque and Brescian valleys. Mountain cured meats, alpine cheeses, red rostrato polenta, Rovetta corn, fresh pasta, homemade filled pasta crafted traditionally, and desserts from the in-house pastry shop are also stars of the menu. All dishes are prepared according to the rhythm of the seasons.
