Lorenzo Lotto’s arrival in Bergamo in 1513—coming from a Venice dominated by the genius of Titian—marked a true revolution in local painting. Lotto brought with him an intense and theatrical sensibility, capable of depicting both the complex religious events of the time and a deeply personal spirituality.

“Lotto by Night” offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the artistic journey of the famous painter in Bergamo. The guided tour will begin in Room III of the Adriano Bernareggi Diocesan Museum and continue to the Aula Picta, where the San Bernardino Altarpiece is on display as the guest of honor.

The tour will conclude at the church of San Michele al Pozzo Bianco, which houses some of the oldest frescoes in the province of Bergamo, along with the famous *Stories of the Virgin*, painted by Lotto shortly before his departure from Bergamo. As they admire the decorations on the walls and in the crypt, visitors can travel back through the centuries and discover how Lotto’s paintings harmonize the divine and human dimensions.

The tour will be led by the young cultural heritage guides from Le Vie del Sacro
