The Tadini Academy presents “La Casa delle Storie,” a participatory exhibition on view at the museum from June 28 to October 4, 2026, born out of a dialogue between the Academy’s artistic heritage and the personal stories of 29 participants.
The project stems from an idea by Marco Albertario, director of the Galleria dell’Accademia Tadini, in collaboration with Maria Grazia Panigada of Patrimonio di Storie and Giovanna Brambilla, an expert in cultural heritage education, with the goal of creating a participatory experience that connects the museum’s works with the community’s memories, objects, and stories.
Launched in January 2025, “La Casa delle Storie” has evolved into a genuine process of participation, listening, and narrative creation.
The exhibition presents to the public the outcome of a collaborative process that guided participants in sharing their personal stories. The process unfolded through a storytelling workshop focused on observation, description, and listening—an opportunity to engage with the Gallery’s works alongside personal mementos brought in by the participants. This process gave rise to a series of narratives recorded on video by Davide Bassanesi, which are now on display in the museum’s galleries.
The heart of the exhibition is encapsulated in a simple yet powerful formula: 29 works, 29 objects, 29 stories. Each participant chose a cherished object and placed it in dialogue with a work from the Accademia Tadini, creating an exhibition itinerary where art history meets personal experiences, memories, relationships, and the perspectives of the community.
The participants’ cherished objects, brought to life through Davide Bassanesi’s narratives and photographic documentation, will be on display in the galleries of the Galleria dell’Accademia Tadini and the Museo dell’Ottocento. Placed alongside the museum’s works, they become gateways to memory and give life to a collective exhibition, woven from unexpected connections, emotional resonances, and shared stories.
“La Casa delle Storie” is part of an initiative to promote the museum as a space for connection, where cultural heritage becomes an opportunity for different generations, experiences, and perspectives to come together. The exhibition invites visitors to discover not only the works and objects on display, but also the stories behind them: personal narratives that, within the context of the museum, become part of a collective memory.
The exhibition will be on view at the Accademia Tadini in Lovere from June 28 to October 4, 2026. The hours listed in the exhibition materials are: Tuesday–Thursday, 2:30–6:30 p.m.; Friday: 2:30–6:30 p.m. and 8:00–11:00 p.m.; Saturday–Sunday and holidays: 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
