Two days of sports, mountains, and remembrance. On Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, 2026, Val di Scalve will host the fourth edition of MUST – Memorial Ultra Scalve Trail, an event organized by Fly-Up Sport that combines a passion for trail running with the commemoration of the tragic collapse of the Gleno Dam on December 1, 1923. The event will bring hundreds of athletes to the trails that wind through some of the sites symbolic of the tragedy, amid spectacular landscapes, mountain villages, and unique views of the Bergamo Orobie Alps. Registration is already open on the event’s official website. The 2026 edition will feature three different races.
The weekend will kick off with the GLENO VERTICAL, scheduled for Friday, July 17. This 5-kilometer race, featuring 600 meters of elevation gain, will start at 8:30 p.m. from Vilminore di Scalve and end at the picturesque, illuminated Gleno Dam.
On Saturday, July 18, the two main races will take center stage:
• LONG ROUTE – 47 km and 3,600 meters of elevation gain, starting at 6:45 a.m. from Dezzo di Scalve and ending in Colere.
• SHORT ROUTE – 23 km and 1,100 meters of elevation gain, starting at 9:15 a.m. from Schilpario and finishing in Colere.

• 6:45 a.m.: start of the MUST Lungo (47 km).
Schilpario – Piazza Angelo Maj
• From 7:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.: Race bib pickup and equipment check for the MUST Corto race.
• 9:15 a.m.: Start of the MUST Corto (23 km).
Colere – Risorgimento Square
• 10:30 a.m.: MUST Expo opens.
• Around 11:30 a.m.: The first competitors arrive.
• From 12:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: pasta party at the PalaColere.
• 5:30 p.m.: awards ceremony.
• 7:30 p.m.: End of the event.
The program also includes a non-competitive walk along a 7-km route that crosses the Colere basin.
