time.<br \/>\nThe Polyptych dates from the period between the late 15th and early 16th centuries, painted by Bernardino Butinone and Bernardo Zenale. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-dcb8ff75-e008-8d94-20b9-f859994d8d37\"><span>Its excellent preservation is due to chance: it was moved from above the altar to its feet, and the dimness of this new position preserved it.<\/span><span><br class=\"kix-line-break\"><\/span><span>The wooden altarpiece is painted with a faux porch with Saints and Saints facing it; in the center is St. Martin giving his cloak to a poor man.  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-dcb8ff75-e008-8d94-20b9-f859994d8d37\"><span>You can recognize Gothic elements in the abundant use of golds and Renaissance ones in the composition of the figures-a peculiar but very successful combination!<\/span><span><br
