district.<br \/>\nAs its name suggests, it was a summer residence owned by the <strong>family of<\/strong> the same name, <strong>pioneers of communication and the postal system <\/strong>that spread throughout Europe.<br \/>\nPeople of high prestige and social class, who had the honor of hosting, in the very rooms of this mansion, important cultural and artistic figures of the caliber of <strong>Torquato Tasso, Giambattista Tiepolo, Francesco Zuccarelli and Francesco Tassi<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<p>Built <strong>in the open countryside<\/strong> by Gabriele Tasso, it once represented the town&#8217;s most important <strong>agricultural estate<\/strong>: production was the responsibility of the farmers in their employ, which was then sold to the Serenissima Republic.<br \/>\nIts mills were fed by the <strong>Roggia Morlana<\/strong>, the artificial canal that surrounds the Villa and through which the Serio River flows. <\/p>\n<p>However, the Villa represented more than just an important manufacturing nucleus.<br \/>\nAs in any self-respecting sumptuous mansion, <strong>art<\/strong> is the protagonist, from the spectacle of <strong>frescoes and stuccoes<\/strong> to provide unparalleled class, to the <strong>late 17th-century<\/strong> <strong>staircase<\/strong>, to the <strong>12 herms<\/strong> dedicated to the faces of the family in the postal business, preserved in the majestic <strong>Hall of the Generals and the Hall of the Lions.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>The <strong>furnishings<\/strong> have not populated this residence for some time, but you can still admire their beauty at the<strong>Carrara Academy<\/strong>, where they are carefully
